Professional Standards Committee

Professional Standards Committee is in place to help members resolve conflicts between themselves and other in our work environment.

SWA Maintenance Ideas Committee

The Southwest Airlines Maintenance Ideas Committee shall interface with the membership to allow for the flow of ideas between the members and management.

Welfare Committee

This committee is tasked with reviewing and verifying information from welfare requests. These requests would be from members in financial distress or members looking to assist charities.

SWA - Airtran Seniority Integration Committee

This Committee is tasked with reviewing the comparisons of SWA and Airtran within the Aircraft Mechanic and Related area. The Committee is responsible for negotiating a seniority integration agreement with Airtran Airways representation or to seek arbitration.

Bylaws Committee

Shall be responsible for properly amending the Local Bylaws as described in these Bylaws. Our Bylaws will not be changed again until 2012. There is not a committee in place a this time

Contract Proposal Committee

Committee members will compile submitted proposals and present them to the membership within the guidelines of the AMFA Constitution. This committee will be formed no later than 6 months before the amendable date of a CBA. We currently do not have proposal committees in place.
